上周六，我们学院的大约30名学生参观了一所希望小学。这次活动由学生会组织，目的是为了帮助希望小学的学生。

在我们参观前，学院的志愿者协会组织了一次捐赠活动，收集了一些书籍、书包、衣服和钱。我们代表学院把所有的物品都捐赠给了希望小学。我们待了一整天，和小学生们一起玩游戏，辅导他们做家庭作业。有个同学上了一堂英语课，小学生们在课堂上认真听讲，非常活跃，他们对学习的好奇心给我们留下了深刻的印象。

这次参观活动很有意义，也很有价值。它确实让我们了解到别人与我们不同的成长环境。通过帮助小学生，我们培养了一种责任感。我希望每个人都能尽自己的最大努力去帮助那些需要帮助的人。

A Visit to Fanhai Hope Elementary School Received a Warm Welcome

A two-day visit to Fanhai Hope Elementary School organized by the Student Union of our university has been completed as scheduled this weekend.

Aiming at fostering college students' service awareness and helping pupils of rural areas better understand the colorful college life so as to motivate them to study harder, the Student Union organized an activity named A Trip of Love Seed. A team of 30 college students' participated in this trip. The visit was warmly welcomed by all the students and staff of Fanhai, followed by a range of colorful activities, such as the interaction among students about the fascinating college life, a visit to the school art show of students' works of painting and handicraft and teaching activities focusing on showing the magical science world to the pupils.

Both the pupils and our college students were actively involved in all these brilliant activities. And the headmaster of Fanhai spoke highly of this trip as well as the devotion, enthusiasm and creativity of our students.

Volunteer Activity in the Nursing Home

On June 10, a volunteer activity to help elderly people in the neighborhood was held by the Students’ Union in our school.

Volunteers set out early in the morning and respectfully presented the elderly with fruits and flowers. They were warmly welcomed upon their arrival. Then they started working at once by helping them wash the clothes and clean the room and talked with elderly people happily. Besides, volunteers also taught them how to use computer which made elderly people very interested in. When it was time for the volunteers to leave, the elderly people thanked them for their said it was such a beautiful day that they would remember it forever.

The volunteer activity, in conclusion, is of great significance. Compared with better living conditions, elderly people prefer to seek company. It is no exaggeration to say that the volunteer activity not only brought joy to elderly people, but also enrich the life experience of volunteers.
