To Quest the Mystery of Hu Xueyan’s Business Legend

Good afternoon, everyone.My name is Li ming, coming from Mechanical and Electrical Information limited company.The title of my speech is to quest the mystery of Hu Xueyan’s business legend.As a new employee, I had the honor to participate in an outward development held by our parent company, namely Jiangsu complete equipment limited company from 21st Sep.to 24th Sep.Hence, I had a chance to come close to the world of Hu Xueyan and quest his business legend.Before this outward development, I had already read the book named Hong-Ding Merchant, written by Mr.Gao Yang.From the book, I know that the fundamental principle of Hu Xueyan’s business is integrity.It was no other than this principle that made the Hu Qingyu Chinese Pharmacy founded by him be equally famous with the Tongrentang in Beijing.There was a tablet called Jieqi in front of his pharmacy to warn his clerks never to cheat the customer.By contrast, part of the merchants in nowadays may need to learn deeply from him.If all the company can obey the faith of integrity, the automobile, the computer, and even the milk we drink every day can be of high quality and security.In order to experience the difficulty of previous merchants in doing business, we set out to Jixi County in Anhui province by bus in September 21st to re-walk the Hui-Hang Ancient Path.This is a bumpy mountain-winding path, with the length of 25 kilometers.It was very difficult to climb or walk on it, even if we brought nothing.However, it is through this ancient path that young Hu Xueyan had transported his goods by shoulder to Hangzhou several hundred years before.During the climbing, all the clerks played a game named Angel and Servant.When the path was too abrupt to climb by oneself, the servant should help his angel.It’s a very difficult journey, especially in a rainy day, but we finally reached the destination with the help of each other.This journey made me truly understand the difficulty of previous merchants.On the other hand, nowadays team work is a very important factor that may determine the success or fail of one project.Of course, all of us spent an unforgettable night on the mountaintop hotel.Next day, we began to climb down from the ancient path, and went to visit the Hu Qingyu Chinese Pharmacy and the former residence of Hu Xueyan.That was the most luxurious villa in the late Qing Dynasty, which demonstrated the success of Hu Xueyan.And then, we went back to Nanjing in September 23rd.Next day, we all participated in the discussion and summary about this outward development.It was a very unforgettable journey for me, although not win the laurels.This journey makes me understand that each one should undertake the responsibility to the whole team, namely never leave behind your angel, regardless of difficulty or challenge.This is the journey to quest the mastery of Hu Xueyan’s business legend.Thank you very much.

Cultural globalization, which is a direct consequence of economic globalization, rids China of its closed cultural system and leads it into a multicultural society.Chinese culture is the main body of the Confucian culture as a kind of ethnic culture.However, with information and economic integration, cultural exchange warms up quickly.Meanwhile, all kinds of foreign cultures are flocking into China.Standing on the street, you can see McDonald’s and KFC everywhere.Even their passenger volumes are larger than those breakfast stores in China.Most people admit that they would rather eat KFC and don’t want to eat China classic breakfast.Maybe because it’s something new.In the same way, Japanese anime, American movies and South Korean dramas spread to Chinese university campuses, causing a sensation.Chinese students are crazy about those fresh cultures.Some even are proud of knowing better than others.As a result, domestic animation and the Chinese classic get into risks.In this multicultural society, masses of rich and colorful ethnic cultures get together in a melting pot.These foreign cultures shock Chinese culture constantly at their different ideas and customs.In the case, how to deal with the impact of globalization and how to protect and develop Chinese traditional culture, these are hot topics which cause the high attention of policy and public opinion.Should we promote cultural integration or insist of cultural persity?
In a period that the world is increasingly becoming one, it’s advisable for us to take an open attitude to foreign cultures.Only after we do in this way, can we catch a necessary condition for local culture of its survival and development.As we all know, Chinese traditional culture is the spiritual and material wealth the Chinese nation ancestors created.Passing down from generation to generation, it is a distinct national characteristic of the long history of the culture.We must take in mind that our culture is the Chinese nation several thousand years civilization of crystallization.It is our superior culture, which is the other national culture can not replace.According to this, there is no possibility that we agree with cultural integration.Once ethnic cultures come into integration, our national culture will lose its unique characteristics and the ethnic superiority will also disappear.What’s more, the cultural integration makes the world culture big garden become single and boring.Therefore, Chinese culture way for the future development is bound to emphasize and inherit the national cultural essence.But this does not mean that other ethnic cultures mean nothing to us.We should make it clear that foreign cultures have essence and dregs.We should treat them quite sensibly and not extremely.To take the essence and discard the dregs, we will absorb the mankind advanced civilization achievements from foreign cultures.All in all, opinionly, I have the idea that Chinese authorities should encourage cultural persity.By introducing other excellent ethnic cultures, our traditional culture can be riched and developed well.

It makes full use of the Chinese and foreign cultural integration in the implementation of market strategy to meet the different needs of different types of people.The Western food culture greatly enriched the Chinese people's eating habits, to stimulate China’s consumption, and promoting economic development.You can not deny it.Consequently, Cultural integration can help us to create such a colorful world.As to everyone, we now live in a time what cultural integration has produced a great influence in.However, cultural independence is also of great significance.In this way, it can protect and inherit their own culture.A well-integrated nation can better keep the unity and stability of the country.The trend toward globalizations encourages international exchanges and integration of cultures.If all nations integrated into one, the world would be monotonous.The world is interesting and colorful because of its persified cultures.Multiculturalism encourages tolerance and understanding among perse groups in a society, thus promoting stability and development.All ethnic groups should be allowed to maintain their unique characteristics.I’m with the view that in this modern world, the culture of any nation cannot develop in isolation.And I believe that different cultures should learn from each other’s strengths to offset their own weaknesses.Of course, the culture must withhold its own distinctive national characteristics in its extensive exchange with other cultures.Cultural exchange, I think, is by no means a process of losing one’s own culture to a foreign culture, but a process culture, of enriching each other’s national cultures.Modern means of transportation, telecommunication and mass media have shortened the geographical distance of the world.The international community appears to be no more than a global village, in which peoples of all nations experience the inevitable cultural exchanges clashes, while seeking common development in a harmonious and respectful relationship.
