Setting:

Little Women is set in the 1860s in New England.With Father away, serving as a clergyman for soldiers fighting in the Civil War, the four daughters and their mother remain at home, struggling to live under the circumstances.the

March girls-none of whom had expected to pursue careers-work feverishly to support the family and, in the process, confront conflicts between domestic duties and independence.The setting broadens in Part II as Alcott describes the girls’ travels away from home and their eventual marriages.Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy March are four sisters living with their mother in New England.Their father is away serving as a chaplain in the Civil War, and the sisters struggle to support themselves and keep their household running despite the fact that the family recently lost its fortune.Jo and her sisters are almost literally waiting for things to happen.Each girl also cherishes certain ambitions – Jo wants to do something amazing, but she's not sure what.We don't know exactly how this will work out, but we're sure that it's going to be exciting!

In the process, they become close friends with their wealthy neighbor, Theodore Laurence, known as “Laurie.”

《小妇人》是我很喜欢的一部作品，我喜欢它的原因是作品本身风格的恬淡，这是一部很适合茶余饭后阅读的作品。

《小妇人》是美国作家路易莎·梅·奥尔科特写的一部自传体小说，她把自己生活当中许多事情都写入了此说之中，更是把自己的姐妹分别写成了美丽而有些虚荣之心梅格、甜蜜而羞涩的贝丝和漂亮而爱惹麻烦的爱美，更是把自己写成了是一个性格耿直而且豪爽的乔，虽然她们都有着自己的优点和缺点，但她们的身上都有着同样的一种东西，那些就是心地善良。

这本书主要将的是马奇家的四个不同性格的女孩通过自己的善良和勤劳找到了自己幸福的故事。小说没有跌岩起伏的情节，没有引人入胜的悬念，但作者用朴实的语言描写了马奇家的天伦之爱。她们的善良，对爱的忠诚及对亲情的渴望深深地感动了我。作者只描写了生活中很平凡的细节，但是却处处显露出对爱对美好生活的憧憬。

马奇家的女孩虽然家里贫寒，但她们却对任何事都有积极乐观的态度。小说强调了她们的个性与尊严，但有表现出她们的自我表现约束，而独立自强又是这四个女孩的共同特点她们总是在不停的找出自己的缺点并努力改正。这也是值得每个人学习的。

虽然这本书中并没有太多的描写马太太，但这位母亲是伟大的，是一位成功的母亲，虽然自己并没有什么更大的作为，但她教育出了几位有人性至美的“小妇人”这也是她最伟大的成功了。虽然自己的家境贫寒但她并没有因为自己的家境而抛弃任何一个女儿，也没有像其他父母一样对待自己的子女，每个人都有对这个世界这个社会不公平的抱怨，但她并没有因为这些而抱怨什么，反而是用自己这个鲜活的例子在教育着自己女儿们要做一个怎样的人。她没有因为自己的女儿们的一些错误而去责骂她们，而是让她们自己去体验生活从生活

中找出自己的缺点与问题；她没有因为自己是母亲是长辈而在自己的女儿们面前摆出一副不可抗拒的威严，而她却是能够坐下来平心静气地和女儿们谈天说地说出自己的快乐与不快乐之事，更是能够认真地听着女儿们的快乐与不快乐之事，与她们一起分享着快乐与悲伤。这位母亲的伟大，主要是因为她能够用自己的把女儿引到真实的生活中去，用真实生活中的例子来教导她们让她们有一个更好的学习环境，更重要的是她能够用自己微薄的力量来帮助别人，还有就是可以与不公平的教育对抗，她因为自己的女儿受到了老师的惩罚一句话未说而是让自己的女儿退了学让她在家里跟着姐姐们自学。她不会因为那些有钱有势的人对她的善意行为而说出不敬的话和恶意的行为而跟那些人计较或一般见识，而是用自己的这些行为和话语反过来教育自己的女儿们。

可是我们现实生活中的父母们又有几个能够如此对待自己的子女的呢？他们为了自己的孩子不惜一切代价这是无可厚非的，可是他们的努力并非真的能够得到想拥有的回报和相应的地位。他们为了让自己的孩子们上大学有出息，谁都想望子成龙、望女成凤，却忽略了他们的个人兴趣与爱好，只会拼命地让他们学习去死学那些书本上的知识，如果他们有什么错误只会去处罚他们或是让他们感受到父母的威严，并不会去听取他们的意见或是理由原因，父母们只会让他们按照自己的要求来做，只是把他们看成一个任由自己牵线的木偶，甚至是自己的一种利用工具，为了达到自己的目的而让自己的子女们去做自己想做的事情。更不会去和自己的子女们平心静气的谈话，也不会去用自己的过错事例来教育子女们让他们能够更好地选择自己所要的生活方式。

梅格、乔、贝思、艾米她们坚强、乐观的精神将永远贮存在我的心里。她们的微笑会永存在我的脑海中，提醒着我，要坚强，要有一颗纯洁的心。
