The Little Prince is a tale for both children and adults. The Little Princeis the story of a man who crashes his airplane into the desert only to meet atraveling boy from a small planet. The boy inquires about trees and sheep, shares his journeys and various encounters, and then leaves. Yet, readingbetween the lines, the story offers a much more complex, eiching, satisfying andeye-opening moral: what matters in life is love - and caring about someone orsomething and maintaining that relationship. The prince loves his rose enough tocare for it every night by protecting it with a glass globe and requesting amuzzle for his sheep. He knows that the rose is naive with only four purposelessthorns and, out of his loyalty to her, it is his duty to protect her. Likewise, the narrator loves the prince and feels an obligation to secure his safe journeyhome.
I read this book as a child and was infected with a sense of awe and anewfound respect for the written word and its power to touch, heal and changeperception. For myself, it accomplished two things; it instilled in me a desireto one day
become a writer and touch others with my words and like the narrator of thestory, and Antoine De Saint-Exupery (whose own plane crash is said to have beenthe basis for the tale) it instilled within me a hope that one day the LittlePrince will return and someone will let me know.
What is the meaning of this tale? Easily saying is that the tale talk aboutmany normal things like morals and principles and values from two different butsuccessive way as children and adults. As the narrator said you can only catchadults’ attention by describing the price of something or saying the number ofsomething. It’s hard to make adults feel lovely by the children’s beautifuldescribing. That is the reason why many adults believe this tale is a tale foradults.
Being insincere and utilitarian, adults consider useful and kids thinksinful. Free spirit and free heart, adults consider absurd and children believenecessary. The amazing point is that these two different beliefs are held by onespecies--Human. When we were young, we could see anything God want us to see.But after decades, what we could see was only something we need to see.

"The Little Prince" is a clear book, as clear as the water. It’s writes foradults, teenagers and children. It is a book about life and the lives of thefable. As the book said, the water on the heart is beneficial. And "LittlePrince" can make people feel warm and fresh.
The story is about a boy. He lives on a small planet. He is the only personof the planet. He is a lonely prince. Fortunately, a beautiful rose came in hislife. They loved each other. But a little argument separated them. He left theplanet which he lives, starts traveling. He went to many planets and met manydifferent people. He likes to watch the sunset when he was sad. He found thatpeople wanted happiness, but always pushed away happiness rudely.
At last, he understood how to love each other. Love and life is a very
important thing. He is very regret. He wanted to return to the planet whichhe lives. But he didn’t know the road. He chose to drank snake venom end hislife because he thought it will be able to cast off his bulky body to goback.
Every time, when I read "The Little Prince", I always moved about it. Inreal life, we often busy in the whole day, such as a fly without soul. Thepassage of time, childhood away, we grew up and took away a lot of memories, butwe also have an oasis in the heart.

I don’t remember the exact year I first read The Little Prince . Though thegolden snake in the book plays a cameo role , I never forget the scene that heflashed kissed gently on the little prince’s ankle. It made me be afraid toreread this book.
Later, I listened a Michael Wong’s song named Fairy-tale Story, the princein his song is different from the prince in The Little Prince, the prince in thesong is the same as Andersen’s tales’ princes, they all have happy endings.
However, I think The Little Prince is a sad story. There is a saying: Thereare a thousand Hamlets in a thousand peoples eyes. Now, let me talk about myreading feeling. This simple story flies over every corner of the world: a pilot(the narrator) who had an accident with his plane and crashed in the Desert ofSahara then he met the little prince from the planet B-612, and the narratorlistened little prince’s travel experience of seven planets. On the sevenplanets, he met a variety of persons. They are the king, the conceited man, thebusinessman, the tippler, the lamplighter, the geographer and so on.
The Little Prince is a story belongs to adults who have childlikeinnocence.because children don’t understand the little prince’s deepsadness. This is not so much a fairy tale, as it is a tragedy. This story tellsthe grow-ups’ world is full of empty, lost and loneliness with kids’ perspective.Among the story, the alcoholic is impressive. He was surrounded by a pile ofbeer bottles when the little prince saw him, and prince asked him why he isdrinking, but he answered he want to forget his shame of drinking. This shortplanet visit plunged little prince into deep puzzled. He think the grow-ups arecertainly very, very odd. In kids eyes, beautiful things must look with heart. But the adults pay more attention on things’ appearance that is just a shell andthey don’t believe the eyes are blind and the heart is true.
Through this story, it also made me understand what’s the love---loves moremineral, more dense, more bitter and more weighty than the earths profoundestmatter.
When I first read The Little Prince, I can’t understand the mean of loveand never to think why should the little prince leave alone since he love hisrose so deeply. For years, I reread the story and think about it. The simpletrue was first love. The little prince didn’t know how to love and It wasdifficult to make him understand the rose’s heart, so it may lead tomisunderstanding and hurts from time to time. He leaved his planet because hecan not accept the rose and himself.
This is why the little prince don’t know he have to leave : at that time,he had no idea he was in it. The little prince don’t understand the meaning oftame until he met the fox later. Then he produced the endless yearning for theroses and realized his responsibility.
"Do you want to be domesticated?" For me, this is a profound question. Inthe book, the little prince met a fox and invited the fox to play with him, buthe was refused. The fox told him that he was not tamed. “what does thatmean--tame?” little prince asked. The fox answered:” it means to establish ties:to me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundredthousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you, I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousandother foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me , you willbe unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world.”
Gradually the little prince was beginning to understand, because heremembered his rose and he thought his rose had tamed him. So he chose to goback to his planet in the end. But to the fox, the little prince’s farewell willmake her sad, but the hurts because of love, she should learn to accept itgradually. I believe there are full of hurts within serious and true love.

This is a fairytale whose distribution volume is only second to The Bible. It’s been translated to versions of many other languages. And I gather theremust be something special, something really great about it. It’s this convictionthat drove me to read it at the first beginning. Well, with due respect to theauthor, I failed to see how this fairytale be worthy of our attention, despitethe fact that many readers claimed this book to be designed for adults.
Anyway, as a well-acknowledged book, it must possess unique feature tomaintain it’s position. And it’s reputation and popularity will by no means bedestroyed by what an unknown man says. I will talk about the main contents ofthe book, and the inspiration it renders as usual.
This book mainly tells us the experience of a prince from a tiny planet, who traveled to many other planets and finally came to the earth and met thepilot in a desert. The prince and the pilot became good friends, and the pilotgradually got to know the feeling and experience of his friend. Before he cameto the earth, little prince had been to other 6 little planets where he madeacquaintance with some strange people. The first man he met was a king on alittle planet, yet he claimed to be the king of the space and ridiculouslyjustified his unshakable governance over all. The second person was a man ofvanity, who enjoyed pliments of any form without considering whether it’ssincere or not. The third person was an alcoholic who tried to forget the factthat he’s addicted to acohol by drinking like a fish. The fourth person was anabosolute money-oriented businessman, who cared nothing but his fortune. Nextcame the lamp-lighter who performed his duty blindly. The last one was ageographer who knew
too much about geography to solve a real problem related to it. These sixpeople each represented one kind of person like us. The author satirizedpeople’s conceit, emptiness, fakeness, innocence and blindness through the toneof a child.
I see eye to eye with the author in that the cause of people’s lonelinesscan be concluded to the negligence of the bonds that connects them. People aresupposed to care about each other, cherish what’s really important for them, andbe grateful for the happiness that they’ve gained. We all believe knowledge andexperience enable us to see clearly and make right judgements all the time. Butwe may sometimes lose the right to speak straighforwardly, think creatively orlove courageously resulting from what we’ve experienced. That why in our middleschool textbooks, it’s the little kid that breaks the illusion of the emperor bysaying ”but mum, he ain’t were anything”.
When I was a child, I was definitely a good boy who went home on time afterschool and did his homework and never tried anything without mom’s permission. And now I am a grown-up, and still I am a good man, at least, that’s what Iheard. Sometimes when I was lonely and I began to think about my childhood, thenall the happiness and care-free life came back to me as it were yesterday. Kidsthat once acpanied me during my childhood now bee fathers and mothers of theirkids and I myself am a child no more. Thinking about all these things have mademe moody. There’re changes happening in our lives whether we are happy about itor not.
People told me life is a journey which will never stop once it’s started. What’s left behind are happiness and sorrow, pride and shame, success andregret. There’s good old time to reminisce and there’s sad hours that reminds usof the pain. Your feeling makes them real, and you know you lived.
